XLF, JKG: Big ETF Outflows
updated Monday, June 30, 1:30 PMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF), where 16,200,000 units were destroyed, or a 1.9% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLF, in morning trading today Wells Fargo & Company (WFC) is off about 0.8%, and Berkshire Hathaway Class B (BRK.B) is lower by about 0.3%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the iShares Morningstar Mid-Cap ETF (JKG), which lost 500,000 of its units, representing a 19.2% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of JKG, in morning trading today Avago Tech (AVGO) is up about 1.1%, and Alcoa (AA) is lower by about 0.9%.
