Thursday's ETF with Unusual Volume: GNR
updated Thursday, September 11, 1:30 PMThe SPDR S&P Global Natural Resources ETF (GNR) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 234,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 63,000. Shares of GNR were off about 0.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Petroleo Brasileiro (PBR), trading up about 1.6% with over 13.2 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Vale (VALE), up about 0.2% on volume of over 6.3 million shares. International Paper (IP) is the component faring the best Thursday, higher by about 2.8% on the day, while Chemical & Mining Co. of Chile (SQM) is lagging other components of the SPDR S&P Global Natural Resources ETF, trading lower by about 1.6%.
