Monday's ETF with Unusual Volume: PICK
updated Monday, March 21, 2:13 PMThe iShares MSCI Global Metals & Mining Producers ETF (PICK) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 1.3 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 169,000. Shares of PICK were off about 0.7% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Freeport McMoRan (FCX), trading up about 1.3% with over 23.1 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Alcoa (AA), down about 1.3% on volume of over 13.9 million shares. Mechel OAO (MTL) is the component faring the best Monday, higher by about 2.8% on the day, while United States Steel (X) is lagging other components of the iShares MSCI Global Metals & Mining Producers ETF, trading lower by about 3.9%.
