Tuesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: PSAU
updated Tuesday, September 6, 2:52 PMThe PowerShares Global Gold and Precious Metals Portfolio ETF (PSAU) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 452,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 43,000. Shares of PSAU were up about 3.6% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Tuesday were Barrick Gold (ABX), trading up about 4.2% with over 14.0 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Hecla Mining (HL), up about 5.8% on volume of over 9.5 million shares. Pretium Resources (PVG) is the component faring the best Tuesday, higher by about 8.8% on the day, while American Shared Hospital Services (AMS) is lagging other components of the PowerShares Global Gold and Precious Metals Portfolio ETF, trading lower by about 3.4%.
