XME, KOL: Big ETF Outflows

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the SPDR S&P Metals & Mining ETF, where 2,000,000 units were destroyed, or a 8.4% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XME, in morning trading today Cliffs Natural Resources is up about 0.2%, and Alcoa is up by about 1.9%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Coal ETF, which lost 1,800,000 of its units, representing a 22.8% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of KOL, in morning trading today Teck Resources is off about 0.1%, and Consol Energy is up by about 0.1%.
